Production 작업과정에서

Transportation 교통수단에 관하여

• If you have to buy/rent vehicles for production purposes, use hybrids or fuel-efficient cars.
  작업을 위해서 교통수단을 사거나 빌려야 한다면, 하이브리드 자동차나 연료효율이 좋은 차를 사용하자
• Use a car pooling system or any other ecological transportation (bicycle, communal transport, etc) for production and office practices.
  작업이나 업무활동을 위해서는 카풀제도나 다른 친환경교통수단(자전거, 대중교통 등)을 사용하자
• Let the train take the strain!
  기차(지하철)가 움직이게 하자
• Try to hire local people when you can for your productions instead of flying the whole team (a nice way to save money while encouraging local work).
  전체 팀이 비행기를 타고 가거나 하는 식으로 움직이지 말고 가능한한 지역의 작업자들과 함께 하도록 하자 (돈도 절약되고 지역의 사람들에게 힘도 된다)

Shooting 촬영을 할 때

• Re-use materials, for example tapes for transfers and rushes screenings.
  데모테입을 만들거나 편집본을 시사할 때는 재활용물품을 사용하자
• Manage your waste on a film set (leave no trace: bring back with you what you can’t recycle on location, no disposable plates or cups when possible, etc.).
  세트장의 쓰레기를 관리하자 (흔적을 남기지 마라: 가능한한 일회용접시나 컵을 쓰지 말고, 재활용이 불가능한 쓰레기들은 다시 담아서 가져오자)
• Recycle used batteries and office equipment at local neighborhood eco-centers or fire stations.
  지역에 이웃한 에코센터나 소방서에서 버려진 배터리나 사무용품들을 재활용하자
• Use rechargeable batteries.
  재충전가능한 배터리를 쓰자
• Instead of buying water bottles, buy reusable bottles for your team and filter your water in the office or buy local bio-degradable water bottles.
  물병을 사는 대신, 팀을 위한 재사용가능한 물병들을 사고, 사무실에서는 정수기를 사용하며, 생분해되는 물병을 사자
• Research recycling of sets and props.

Distribution  배급에 관하여

• Make sure any licensing/distribution deal includes a clause which allows public screenings and free copies to be made available in the community/country where the film was shot.
  작품이 만들어진 지역과 사회(국가)에 무료복사본과 공공적 상영회를 허락한다는 구절을 저작권이나 배급권 계약서에 꼭 넣도록 하자
• Allow access to footage on a “creative commons” basis for non-profit, educational and research use.
  비영리적, 교육적, 연구 목적으로는 "creative commons: CC" 주석을 허용하자
• Use online distribution.
  온라인 상영을 하자

office 사무실에 관하여

• Purchase post-consumer recycled paper, print on both sides of your paper or use a double-sided printer.
  재생지를 사용하며, 양면 프린트를 하거나, 양면 프린터를 사용하자
• Shut your computer every day, it doesn’t harm it at all, and the energy saved at a large scale will be of a great impact (no, a screen saver is not an energy saver).
  컴퓨터를 매일 끄자. 전혀 해가 없는 일이며, 크게 생각하면 상당한 효과가 있는 에너지 절약도 된다 (절대로 스크린세이버는 에너지세이버가 아니다)
• Pull the plug on electronics and chargers; even though your electronics are not on, they still use energy when they are plugged.
  플러그나 배터리를 빼두자. 전기를 켜지 않았더라도, 플러그가 꽂혀 있다면 에너지는 사용중인 것이 된다
• Use energy efficient lighting (compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL) last four times longer but use 25 % of the energy).
  에너지효율이 좋은 조명을 쓰자 (cfl전구는 수명도 네 배가 길고 에너지도 25% 절약한다) 
• In winter, lower thermostats at night to reduce indoor heating costs and put electronic programmable thermostats so it’s easier to control the temperature (lowering by only 1 degree has a great impact).
  겨울에는 야간에 온도수준을 낮춤으로써 실내 난방비를 줄이고, 온도조절이 쉽도록 전기적 작동이 가능한 온도조절기를 사용하자 (1도만 낮춰도 엄청난 효과가 있다)
• Evaluate your workplace energy consumption using public agency guidelines for better energy efficiency. Leaky plumbing and windows will cost you.
  사무실/작업실의 더 나은 에너지효율을 위해 공공기관에서 나눠주는 에너지소비 점검표를 보면서 평가해보라. 누수되는 배관이 창문들은 돈이든 무엇이든 댓가를 요구한다

• Use biodegradable and non-toxic cleaning products for the office.
  생분해되고 무독성인 청소도구를 쓰자
• Buy biodegradable trash bags when available.
  가능하면 생분해되는 쓰레기봉투를 사자 
• Use only fair-trade organic coffee, tea and sugar and use a cloth coffee filter.
  공정무역 유기농 커피와 차, 설탕을 사용하고 천으로 된 커피필터를 쓰자 
• Use cloth or recycled plastic shopping bags instead of disposable bags for groceries.
  상점에 갈 때 일회용 봉지보다는 천으로 되었거나 재활용된 플라스틱 쇼핑백을 사용하자
