안녕하세요, 저는 나나입니다. 저를 포함한 하자작업장학교 죽돌들은 9월 첫째 주부터 총 3주간 제프&리사의 마임과 움직임 워크숍에 참여하였습니다. 그리고 지금부터 워크숍동안 배운 것을 저희들이 직접 연출한 공연을 통해 보여드리고자 합니다. 먼저 1인이 연기하는 마임솔로로 저희의 공연을 시작하겠습니다. 박수로 맞아주세요.

Hi, my name is Nana. HPS students, including myself, has been participating in Jeff & Lisa's mime and movement workshop for 3 weeks in September. We are going to show you what we have learnt through our performance which we conducted and made ourselves. First of all, we are going to start with mime solo. Thank you.

2. MIME DUET - Byul

안녕하세요, 저는 별입니다. 방금 보신 마임극에서 이미 눈치챘을지 모르겠지만, 마임극에서는 물건의 상태를 잘 표현할 수 있어야합니다. 크기, 모양, 무게는 어떠한지, 투명한지 불투명한지, 어디에 놓여져있는지 등을 연기하는 동안 모두 기억하고 있어야하지요. 이번에 보실 공연은 둘이서 연기하는 마임듀엣 공연입니다. 표현의 섬세함과 더불어 함께 어떻게 호흡을 맞추는지 지켜봐주세요.

Hi, my name is Byul. You might've already realised that you have to express quality of objects in mime.While you are acting, you have to remember how big or heavy the object is, what shape it is, is it invisible or visible, where you have put it etc. Our next performance is mime duet. You should watch carefully how they express in detail and also how they co-operate together in pairs.

3. MIME DUET w/ one sound that repeats three times - Pureun

안녕하세요, 저는 푸른이라고 합니다. 방금 보신 공연들처럼 이번에도 두명이서 마임듀엣을 할건데요, 이번에는 음향효과가 들어갈 예정입니다. 극 중에서는 하나의 소리가 세번 반복될텐데, 이 음향효과로 얼마나 임팩트 있고, 재미난 효과가 연출될 수 있는지 지켜봐주세요.

Hi, my name is Pureun. As you have seen just now, we are going to perform in duet again, except this time, there will be a sound effect. During the performance, there will be one sound repeating 3 times. Let's check out how this sound effect make the performance interesting.

4. PIVOT - Maru

안녕하세요 저는 마루입니다. 마임공연은 잘 보셨나요? 저희는 워크숍을 통해 마임을 배우기도 했지만, 여러 실험극도 만들어 보았습니다. 지금 제가 설명해드릴 것은 그중 하나인 피봇입니다. 제가 설명을 위해서 잠시 포즈를 보여드릴테니 지금 무엇을 하고 있는 것 같은지 말해주세요.

(손을 들어서 때릴거 같기도 한 포즈를 취함. )
다양한 답이 나왔는데, 이제 이 포즈의 앞과 뒤의 상황을 보겠습니다.
(폭력적인 세계에서 포옹하는 세계로 바뀌어서 포옹을 한다. )

방금의 장면은 피봇을 이용해서 연기한 장면이었습니다. 제 행동들은 서로 전혀 연관이 없지만 겹쳐지는 부분이 있었지요? 이 겹쳐지는 부분을 통해 기존의 세상에서 다른 세상으로 바뀌게 되는 순간을 피봇이라고 부릅니다. 그리고 이런 피봇을 이용해서 서로 대조되는 두 세상의 모습을 통해 강한 메세지를 전달할 수도 있었습니다. 다음 공연은 이 피봇을 사용한 극입니다.

Hi, my name is Maru. How did you see mime performance? During the workshop, we learnt mime but we also did some experimental theatre works. And now I will explain one of it, called 'pivot'. Before I explain it, I will pose, and tell me what you think I'm doing.

(Do a pose looking like hitting someone)

I hear diverse answers. Now I wll act out what happened before and after this pose.

(Violent world changes to peaceful world by hugging)

The scene that I have just acted out were made by using pivot. You remember how my action before and after the pose is not really relevant to eachother, but there was a certain common moment in both actions, right? Through this moment, a former world can change to another world and we called it pivot. And through pivot, we were also able to leave a strong message by showing the audiences contrasting world. Now we will see one of our pivot work.

5. OTHERS - Shin Sang

안녕하세요. 저는 신상이라고 합니다. 마임을 배우는 동안은 몸 전체를 움직여 물건이나 자신이 처한 상황을 표현했지만, 때로는 몸보다 얼굴의 아주 작은 움직임만으로도 상황을 표현할 수 있었습니다. 마치 이렇게요. (눈 연기) 워크숍을 통해 저희는 움직임을 관찰하고, 몸의 각 부위마다 분리시켜 움직여보기도 하고, 이 움직임들을 악보처럼 기록을 하며 다양한 실험을 해봤습니다. 다음 보실 공연은 움직임 실험을 거쳐 만들어진 극들입니다.

Hi, my name is Shin-sang. During learning mime, we learnt how to express their situation or object by using whole body, but sometimes we were able to express our situation just by using a small movement on your face. Like this. (Acting with eyes) Through workshops we did fun and diverse experiments by observing movement, isolate different parts of body and move them separate, make scores of movment etc. Now we will show you performance made during this experiments.

6. SLOW MOTION - Ma

안녕하세요 저는 마입니다. 이번에 보여드릴 것은 슬로우모션을 사용한 극인데요, 슬로우모션은 (슬로우모션으로 설명) 동작을 느리게 하여 마치 장면이 길게 늘어진 것 같은 효과를 줍니다. 워크숍동안 저희는 다양한 기법을 통해 평범하고 일상적인 것을, 평범하지 않고 비범하게 바꾸기를 연습했습니다. 슬로우모션도 그런 기법 중 하나였던 것 같아요. 저희가 준비한 슬로우모션 공연, 즐겁게 관람해주세요.

Hi, my name is Ma. We will show you slo motion piece next. The effect of slow motion is (saying in slow motion) it seems as if a scene is stretched because everything is so slow. During workshop we practiced making ordinary into extraordinary through different techniques we learnt. And slow motion was one of the technique which we could've practiced that. Please enjoy our slow motion piece.

7. FLAT w/  TWO WNDOWS - Harok 

안녕하세요 저는 하록입니다. 저희는 마임과 움직임 워크숍 동안 '플랫'이라는 검은 막을 사용해서 극을 만들기도 했습니다. 이 플랫을 어떻게 배치하느냐에 따라 공연에 다양한 효과를 낼 수 있었고, 때로는 시간과 장소를 초월하는 공연을 만들수도 있었어요. 지금 보실 공연은 플랫 사이에 2개의 빈 공간을 이용하여 연출한 장면들입니다.

Hi, my name is Harok. During mime and movement workshop, we made some pieces using a black wall called 'flat'. By questioning where we put flats on stage, we were able to think diverse effects on our performance. One of its effect would be breaking the boundary and limitation of time and place. The performance you will see in a moment was made by using 2 empty spaces in between flats.

8. FOLLOWING COMPOSTIONS - Ping Du

안녕하세요 저는 핑두입니다. 다양한 실험을 통해 극을 만들며 한가지 알게된 흥미로운 사실은 간단한 규칙만으로도 완성도 있는 공연이 탄생할 수 있다는점입니다. 잠시 뒤 보실 공연도 아주 간단하고 쉬운 구칙으로 만들어졌는데요, 그 규칙은 신호에 맞춰 자신의 앞사람을 따라하는 것입니다. 이 실험극은 놀이 같기도 하고, 연속촬영을 연상시키는 효과를 내기도 해서 굉장히 즐거운 실험이었습니다. 그럼 즐겁게 봐주세요.

9. NEW PIECES - Minan

안녕하세요, 미난입니다. 저희는 워크숍을 통해 다양한 기법과 실험극을 배웠고, 워크숍이 끝날때 쯤에는 저희의 아이디어를 모아 직접 극을 쓰고, 연출하며, 실험극으로 표현할 수 있었습니다. 벌써 마지막 순서가 되었는데, 마지막 공연은 하자작업장학교 죽돌들이 다함께 참여하여 만든 극을 선보일 예정입니다. 그럼 저희들의 이야기가 담긴 공연으로 저희의 쇼하자를 마무리하겠습니다. 감사합니다.

Hi, my name is Minan. We learnt all sorts of techniques and experimental theatre works through workshop, and by the time the workshop ended, we were able to think of our own ideas, write and make a performance out of it. It's already my turn to introduce our last performance. Our last performance is made and acted by all the students of HPS. We will end our showhaja by telling you our stories. Thank you very much.
