 a cabbage soup 라고 하기엔 국이 하나, 두개, 이렇게 셀 수 있는게 아니니까 "국 한 그릇(더 정확히 말하면 주전자)"이라고 표시.

2.as soon as: 가능한 빨리 

가능한 빨리 일을 끝내줘

As soon as possible finish the work. - Finish the work as soon as possible. 일단 명령문이니까 (동사를 강조) Finish를 먼저.

가능한 빨리 이것을 먹어줘

As soon as possible eat this. - Eat this as soon as possible. 마찬가지.

3.located: - 위치해 있다.

맥도날드는 당산에 위치해 있다.

Mcdonald is located to Dang san - McDonald's is located in Dang San. 'to'는 ~로, ~를 향해.

명동성당은 명동에 위치해 있다.

Myeong-dong church is located to Myeong-dong. - Myeong-dong church is located in Myeong dong.

4.besides : 외에는

이 울타리에는 양 외에는 들어오면 안된다.

Don't come in this fence besides a sheep. -  Nothing can be kept inside this fence besides sheeps. 이 울타리 안에는 양 외에 어떤 것도 기를 수 없다.

이 펜 외에는 시험에 사용하시면 안됩니다.

Don't use for the test besides this pen - For the test, you cannot use anything else besides this pen.

5.suitable for: - 에 적당한

빨간 펜은 채점에 적당하다.

The red pen is suitable for marking.

이 장소는 이끼가 자라기에 적당한 곳이다.

This place is suitable for grow moss. - This place is suitable for moss to grow. 근데 보통 이끼를 키우지는 않으니까 아주 적당한 문장은 없는 듯 해.

1.but/and/so/because

망치와 못 좀 가져다 줘. 시계를 걸어야겠어.

please bring the hammer and nail, because I have to hook the watch. - Please bring me the hammer and nails. I have to hang the clock on the wall. 망치는 특정한 망치일 수 있으니까 'the'를 붙이지만 못은 특정할 수 없고 여러개니까. hook 보다는 hang/hang up. 손목시계는 watch, 알람시계를 포함한 벽시계는 clock.

난 밥을 먹어야 하지만 돈이 없어.

I have to eat but I don't have cash. 

2.take part in : 참여하다

나는 서밋에서 유스토크에 참여했다.

I took part in youth talk in summit. - I took part in the Youth Talk during the summit. 'in the summit' 해도 되지만 이 경우엔 서밋 '중에'라는 표현이 나을 듯.

나는 친환경 프로젝트에 참여했다.

I took part in eco-project. - I took part in an eco-project / I took part in the eco-project. 그냥 eco project라고 할 순 없고 특정한 프로젝트이면 'the'를, 어떤 한 eco project이면 'a/an' 

3.be seem as : - 처럼 보인다

그는 부지런한 사람처럼 보인다.

He is seem as diligent man. - He seems like a diligent man. 혹은 as를 쓰고 싶다면, He seems as if he's a diligent man.

저 아이는 항상 굶주려 있는 것처럼 보인다.

That kid is always seem as hungry. - That kid always seems hungry.

4.almost: 거의, - 할 뻔 했다.

나는 그 경기를 거의 이길 뻔 했다.

I almost win the game. - I almost won the game. 지난 일이니까 과거형.

이 곳은 거의 매일 같이 비가 온다.

almost all day come down rains here. - Here rains almost everyday 혹은 It rains almost everyday here. (매일 같이를 강조하고 싶으면 every single day라고 쓰면 좋음.)

5.from time to time: 때때로

때때로 나는 산을 오르기도 한다.

From time to time I climb a mountain.

때때로 나는 가게에 가서 이상한 물건을 사오기도 한다.

From time to time I buy the strange thing by the shop. - From time to time I buy strange things from the shop. / at the shop도 가능.

6.I wonder: - 한지 궁금하다

난 그 이상한 물건을 어떻게 쓰는 건지 궁금하다.

I wonder how to use the strange thing. - I wonder how you use that strange thing. 

난 너가 도대체 왜 지금 자고 있는지 궁금하다.

I wonder why do you sleeping now. - I wonder why you are sleeping now.
