Can Asia develop sustainably?

 : We think 'YES'.

*Why YES? : Because.. 

아시아의 대부분의 나라는 개발도상국이다. 

Most of Asian counties are developing countries.

이들이 개발을 하는 방식은 기후와 문화양식이 다른 서구의 것을 따라하고 있다. 

The way of thier development is following western style which has different climate and culture.

이미 우리가 알고 있듯이 서구에서 행해진 개발은 생태계에 많은 문제를 가져왔다. 

As we already know, the development of western brought many problems to eco-system.

Asia 경우는 그 실패한 사례를 밟을 필요가 없고, 곧바로 다른 시대로 갈 수 있을 것이다. 

In Asia, we don't have to follow the failed case, we can go to a new civilization directly

전력을 많이 소비하는 형태가 아니라, 비전력 방식을 더 개발하고, 옛날 그 자연의 지혜를 이용한 생활 방식과 융합시키자. 

We develop more non-electricity technology to reduce electricity consumption. We combine wisdom of nature with our lifestyle. 

앞으로 우리는 자연과 공생할 수 있는 기술을 개발하는 것에 주력해야 할 것이다.

We have to focus on the technology of co-existance with nature.

그러기 위해서 지속가능성에 대해 정보를 나누는 시간/토론의 시간도 많이 가져야할 것 이다. 

We need time to share information and discuss "sutainability" with many people.

그렇기 때문에 이번 MaD에서 하는 찬드라네어의 강연이 기대된다.

So, we're expecting Chandran Nair's lecture on MaD conference.
