Self-Introduction

Team : Design Team

Interests : I like to meet people. I like to tell people about myself and I also like to listen to their stories. These days I am interested in working on images on the computer. I am thinking of ways to connect my two interests, meeting people and image work on computer.

Why Maesot?

I am a person who is living in the era of climate change. In that context the students at HPS have talked about the many symptoms of climate change and the issues which are connected to it, such as development and independence(?). When I go to Maesot, I would like to think more about my life and the lives of people in Maesot. Furthermore, I would also like to think and experience what it means to design our lives which is the theme of my individual research subject.

My HPS

I'm in Haja Production School. I'm a member of the design team and I'm in my second semester. In Haja Production School, there are three teams, the design team, video team and the performance team. The school is divided into teams but what we learn is not very different. The difference is the medium we use to express our learning. That is why we have different work method and expression.

I talked about 'life style design' as the subject of my individual research project. I am in the middle of my research and my mid-project conclusion is as follows. I think it is about how I can protect myself from things which happen irrelevant to my will like H1N1 influenza, and many other things which are changing very fast in this era. Furthermore I think we should also protect each other. Since last semester we have talked together about living in the era of climate change, and the issues we face as people living in the same era such as diseases, redevelopment and independence. Our concern is to be able to live well together. That became an opportunity for me to think deeply about the environment, being a citizen, independence etc. These are issues which I took for granted or did not think about at all. Finally I would like to act on these issues through design work.
