Recently, I met a big world. I came to know that this world is entwined with complications. The world has become a place where nothing is strange anymore. When I was a regular school student, I thought it was important to find a role in school. It was important to think of the kind of student I wanted to be or the kind of friend. I dropped out of that school and entered Haja Production School, the school that I am attending now. I think that I have met a big world because I got to know many diverse social problems.


Nuclear power plants produce electricity 24 hours a day and that power is related to the electric socket I use at home. To transmit the electricity transmission towers are constructed. The elderly who live in Miryang have been fighting for eight years to stop the construction of transmission towers and protect their living foundations . The problems that I learned about was so huge and it is impossible for individuals to change the situation.


While I came to meet this big world,I realized my role was not only in the school. I am a part of society. And I think everyone has the right to share happiness.


I am a student at Haja Production School. We think a lot about how we will live our lives in the future, we try to change useless habits, and are doing things like reducing disposable products,  carrying handkerchiefs, and unpluging when not using electricity. Furthermore I realized that the songs and dance that we learn at school are not only for ourselves but an important way to make our voices heard. We are learning the importance of doing what we can do even if it is not something big. We think the small things can gather to become something big.


There are many diverse kinds of people at MaD. People who care carrying out small actions and people who are in action on a bigger stage. I think MaD will be an opportunity to discover small and big ways of changing the world as it is a platform for diverse people to share their diverse experiences. I want to widen my perspective on what I can do through MaD. I would also like to join people who are on a bigger platform working towards making the world a better place.




I am a student today so I rely on my parents economically. If Mad 2014 support my flight ticket from Korea to Hong Kong , I will take care of accommodation and meals. I ask you to support a young man
who is imagining a better world. I hope for a better world and I hope to be a changemaker in the center of the change.
