There is difference between alternative school and regular school.
The main difference is they focus.
Altervative school is focus on society, sensitivity, proactive, and free. But regular school is focus on examination, university, studying all day, and.. student's hair style. They way to teach is based on oppression to student's hair style. When I a middle school student, I oppressd my hair style very hardly. So I always focus on my hair style, not study. But now, when I altervative school student, I'm fucusing on my study(society, sensitivity, proactive, free and so on) perfectly! (^^;)
