Before I entered Haja Production School, I was a regular school student. That time I was blinded by the comforts and the glamorous scenery of the city.

I was able to see a problems as like "The Ice is melting! Polar bear's living foundation is gone. Let's save the electricity!" But I use too many electricity and water, use unnecessary paper towel. I just looked away the problems about the environment even I knew about it.

Because of that, in the beginning of the semester I couldn't agree with the keywords of HPS, I was stressed. Maybe it's because, the way HPS is chasing is different with the way I use to live. Through lectures and programs of HPS, I started to change my mind. Especially, 김익중‘s lecture about explaining the dangers of nuclear power plants. Also, the debate with the Korean Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) and the people of Milyang regarding the construction of transmission towers in Milyang, I was very shocked and it made me face reality and I realized why HPS is focusing on being nuclear free. After I realized, I thought about Keywords of HPS seriously. " I do what I can do in my place " that sentence is story of 크리킨디. I was impressed with it. Now I think positively about a change in to me.

“By using a tumbler instead of paper cups I would cut down waste and not trees. Also try to save water and electricity.” I am trying to change my life style by follow this philosophy.

나는 학교에 들어오기 전 도시의 편리함과 화려함에 눈이 멀었습니다.

티비나 컴퓨터에서 “북극에 얼음이 녹아서 북극곰이 죽어갑니다. 전기를 아낍시다.” 같은 환경문제를 많이 이야기해서 그런 문제를 알고 있었었는데도

전기를 많이 쓴다던지 물을 많이 쓴다던지, 화장실에 손을 씻고 닦는 티슈를 내가 필요한 양 만큼이 아니라 팡팡 쓴다던지 하며 환경문제를 외면하고 있었습니다.

그랬기 때문에 나는 학기 초에 학교가 가고 있는 방향에 공감할 수 없어 스트레스를 받았다.

왜냐하면, 내가 지내왔던 삶의 방식과 학교가 추구하는 공부랑은 너무 달랐기 때문에..?

Maybe it's because, the way HPS is chasing is different with the way I use to live.

(왜 난항을 겪었는지 한두줄) 나는 학교를 다니면서 점점 학교에서 진행한 프로그램들과 강연들을 통해 생각을 변화시키기 시작했습니다. 특히 김익중 선생님의 핵발전소의 위험성에 대한 설명을 들을 수 있었던 강의로 인해서였다. 그리고 밀양 주민과 한국전력공사가 만난 송전탑 문제에 대한 토론을 보러갔었는데. 그게 왜 학교가 탈핵을 외치고 있는지 알수 있게 해줬고, 현실과 직면하게 되었다. 그런 것들을 알고 나서, 학교에서 배우고 있는 것들을 진지하게 생각하기 시작했다. “내 자리에서 내가 할 수 있는 일들을 한다” 라는 크리킨디 이야기를 감명깊게 생각하게 되었다. 나는 나에게 생긴 이 변화를 긍정적으로 생각하고 있습니다.

Now I positively think about a change in to me.

나는 종이컵 대신 텀블러를 써야지. 숲을 없애는 생활방식으로는 살지 말아야지. 전기와 물을 아껴야지. 등 내 일상생활에서도 학교에서 배운 것들을 종종 떠올립니다. 이렇게 학교에 소소한 습관들을 실천하려고 노력하고 있습니다.
