In Haja Production school,/ we have been running a project/ called 'Living literacy in the time of climate change'./ In this project/ we talked about/ global warming,/ oil peak,/ ghettoism(게토이즘),/ how the lives(라이브즈) of people changed/ by climate change/ and how we could make the literacy of our living/ in the time of climate change.

It's May,/ and a few years ago/ I would have never expected myself/ to turn on the electric fan/ in May./ The temperature is nearly 30℃(써티 디그리즈 셀시어스)/ buses,/ subways/ already have air conditioner turned on.

Global warming has been on the go for ages./ But people are now starting to think about it/ as disasters/ are becoming visible. At this moment,/ we start to look back at the lives/ of our human race./ Nature has always been excluded/ from the development/ we have been progressing./ The development/ for our own/ convenience./ On the other hand/ we have been/ forgetting the fact/ that we can't live without nature.

The city we are living in/ is expanding so quickly/ before we even realize it./ People are still packing up/ to move in to this city./ I think most of the teenagers/ want to live in a good city./ As for me/ I'm also living in this city/ in order to attend/ the school I want./ All the good universities/ are in the city,/ famous musician's concerts/ are held in the city,/ a city is where you can make money./ Many people still live in the city,/ dreaming of a better life/ while bearing/ all the difficulties.

Traffic jams,/ pollution,/ slums,/ the city is a menace./ But I don't want/ my city to look like this./ 'How will our city look like/ in the future?',/ 'How does/ the city appear to us now?',/ This issue/ is directly related to the questions,/ 'How will our world look like/ in the future?'/ and 'What is the/ image of the world/ we all dream of.'

So, in this Youth Talk,/ as teenagers/ living in the time of climate change,/ we are going to discuss/ how to 'live' in the 'city'.
