웰컴디너는 7시에 시작. 오프닝으로 페스테자 공연.

지난 번 성남에서 했던 공연 장소와 유사한 호텔 그랜드볼륨 

(호텔은 신도림에 있는 쉐라톤 디큐브 시티 6층)

디너 참가자는 120-250명 규모(대부분 외국인)

The Hope Institute, Intel and the Seoul Development Institute will proudly hold the 3rd Asia NGO Innovation Summit (ANIS) from June 13-15, 2012. ANIS 2012 is a platform for social innovators to exchange ideas and experiences and sharing their skill and best practices in social innovation in order to develop better ways to innovate for social innovation. This year…s aim is to explore the role of each sector and develop new ways to collaborate for social innovation. The event title is ¨Connect, Collaborate, Co-create Asia! Collaboration across sectors for Social Innovation.〃

The need for social innovation has never been greater. Governments are finding it increasingly difficult to solve complex social problems. Businesses are recognizing the need to collaborate when providing products and services. Civil society organizations are looking for new ways to engage and shape their communities. Social innovation provides us not only inspiration, but also various strategic models that can be used to design a stronger future.

Asia is fertile ground for testing new approaches to tackling our social needs. Asia is the fastest growing region in the world while many regions are facing decline. On the whole, the region is stepping into politically stable status but there remain threats of conflicts and war. The region is also striving to establish a better quality of life and struggling to find solutions for people who are suffering from poverty. The existing social systems and environment among Asian countries provide an opportunity to stimulate innovation in all sectors by learning from, and inspiring, each other.

Civil Society has traditionally led the search for new ways to solve social problems. It plays an important role in the frontline of social innovation in every country and every society. Civil society has also been playing a most important and complementary role in filling the gaps which are the result of social conditions such as a lack of resources and social awareness.

The public sector has helped to tackle social issues by applying its abundance of resources and power. The public sector is now building proper supporting infrastructure for social innovation and working to find new ways to cooperate with other sector to address complex social problems.
With its inherent properties in pursuing new products and services, the business sector has evolved and developed in innovative ways. As a major part of society, it is necessary for the public sector to take part in tackling social challenges in addition to its pursuit of profit. As a result, a new recognition of the need for social innovation within the business sector has surfaced, opening the door for cooperation between the sectors.

Social Innovation is collaboration beyond boundaries.
Addressing major social issues requires cooperation and convergence across sectors and fields to tackle the complex challenges.

• Across field boundaries: Beyond silos and fields
• Across sectoral boundaries: One sector cannot solve social problems by itself.
• Across national boundaries: Frequently, there are persistent social problems commonly found across continents.

We believe Asia is the most appropriate region to answer the question of why we should cooperate across sectors because the Asia Pacific region embraces many cultures and societies and therefore has more potential and more opportunities for socially innovation than any other region.

Social innovations are innovations that are social both in their ends and in their means.
There are opportunities for innovation both the process and the results of social innovation. It is not only the results of innovative cases that are important, but it is also significant how the various sectors work together and interact in the process. In other words, the process for obtaining results like social services and policies are an opportunity to be innovative and cooperative as well as the result.

Technology offers opportunity for collaboration.

Technology offers a great opportunity to test and develop methods or tools to solve intractable problems. Technology can enable collaboration, engagement and co-working in a very different way than ever before. This is especially true in Asia where there is a more positive atmosphere for technology. There are many examples of trials and cases that use technology to efficiently connect, collaborate, and co-create. Intel, through the World Ahead Program, promotes access to technology that helps enrich people…s lives and stimulate economic opportunity. Millions of people each year are getting access to helpful technology; high-speed connectivity, education and healthcare improvements, and digital content that help them achieve sustainable social and economic gains.
